i’ve been laying around watching grey’s anatomy and talking to my mom and feeling my heart break inside of my chest because life sometimes seems like a long, never ending process of letting yourself down and lowering your expectations.
this is one of those days where i reflect on how fortunate i am to have the friends that i do.
ryan, jared, ben, logan, and alex all graduated today and i spent the entire day until just now celebrating with them and their families and i’m so proud of them, truly.
they are incredible human beings, some of who will be far away next year and this was another one of those days where i wish i could freeze time for just a little while.
each day just gets better.
the way i know i’m finally okay after a long year and a half is that i’m finally dreaming again. not the night kinds of dreams, but the ones where i am more than content in a future career and i find someone who GETS me in a way that many think they might but never really do
i am making plans instead of taking things one day at a time and times when i violently jerk away from someone when they touch me are few and far between, usually due to surprise now more so than a general discomfort
i am happy, i am okay, i am dreaming

i’m a GHOST
i’m waiting outside for my brother to get home because dumb me can’t find my house keys and there are june bugs EVERYWHERE and i’m FREAKING OUT MAN
nothing about those guys are cool. they’re big and make loud noises when they run into things and they bite you and they sound gross when you kill them and they’re ugly
and last night i had to kill this bajillion legged creature in my dorm room and my roommate woke up to me repeatedly hitting the wall with my shoe
